MEMBERS USE OF THE
ABWA TRADE MARK
- Once
a Member passes pre-inspection or annual audit, it is entitled to
use the ABWA logo on its products including labels, together with
the words “ A Certified Bottler “ or “ A Certified Member “
underneath or above the ABWA logo.
- The
Secretariat must first receive the written acknowledgement from the
inspector or auditor before a member can use the trademark.
- New
members will be accepted as “International Candidate Bottlers”.
Within one year after registration, they must undergo the mandatory
inspection, and pass within two years. Failing this inspection after
two years, they will become “ Affiliate Members”, and must
undergo the inspection process again until they pass. Once they
pass, they will become full members.
- Mandatory
inspections are conducted annually, by ABWA's authorized inspectors.

Members passing a higher score than standard, will receive an
Honorable Mention or Excellence plague in addition to the Certificate of Accomplishment.
- Certified
Plant Operator
An International Bottler Member, in addition to passing the annual
mandatory inspections, must also have at least one Certified Plant
Operator in each of their manufacturing facilities
