It covers countries from Jordan to Tahiti and from China to Indonesia. ABWA has appointed Johnson Diversey Consulting (JDC) as one of its independent inspectors covering Asia (except for Indonesia) and the Middle East. They have regional headquarters in Singapore, Dubai, and.... China. Their headquarters is in the USA. JDC has representation in over 60 countries. Another appointed inspector is PT. Suhita Jaya specifically for Indonesia to cover the inspections of the branded bottled water manufacturers and training the non-branded small operators/ refill-stations. Within this local indonesian Company there are independent trainers and inspectors from the Police Force, SEAMEO TROPMED plus several independent Technical Consultants trained by ABWA. ABWA does mandatory pre-inspections for new members and mandatory annual inspections for members, conducts regular training programs and Certified Plant Operator (CPO) examinations which are internationally recognized. With the assistance of JDC and PT.SUHITA JAYA, ABWA evaluates and test products, systems and services against ABWA's Model Code, WHO, FDA, Codex Alimentarius standards, and national regulations.

It is also the intention of ABWA to improve and advance the quality of products manufactured by its members and thus create a strong image and credibility for the industry. Having passed the ABWA's mandatory inspection will put members on an equal level with their associate counterparts all over the world. To minimize cost, the inspections will be conducted by country for group of companies. Individual inspections are also conducted for individual companies requesting this service at a different cost structure.
